Kindle E-reader donation received
The library recently received a generous donation of 46 Kindles (Electronic book readers) from the Gordon family and their friends. E-readers allow users to download and read electronic books, newspapers, magazines and other digital media.
The Gordons presented the Kindles to the library committee when they visited the library site on June 24th, 2011. We visited 3 area schools and introduced the e-readers and guided the teachers and students as we conducted directed reading sessions with some of the classes.
We are all very excited about this donation and what is means to the library and to the community in Koru.
The e-readers will give schools and families immediate access to thousands of books. We hope to be able to provide local textbooks and other content based on the community’s needs and interest.
Look for further updates as we continue to develop this E-reader program. See the photos here.
thank you very much for the wonderful project...we the people of koru we will benefit a lot
